November Board Meeting
Today at 1 p.m. at the Ramada is the next
regularly scheduled EE Board meeting. The agenda is at the
bottom of this memo. Are there new candidates for the board?
Will the new budget include an air-conditioned golf cart for the
director of Common Area Maintenance? You'll be among the first
to know if you're in the audience.
THANK YOU!
A big round of applause to our wonderful Hospitality Committee
for another special event last Saturday. Over 110 people
enjoyed a pre-Thanksgiving Italian feast. The crew works really
hard to bring us together and serve us a great meal. Looking
forward to their next event on December 16th.
No Movie This Week
There won't be a movie this Wednesday, so you won't miss
anything while you are preparing for Thanksgiving. There will
be two movies in December and then a break until February while
the weather is too cold to be comfortable to sit in the Ramada. Thanks
to Jane & Eric Ellingson for
sponsoring this event.
Arts & Crafts Fair
The EE Artisans will hold their annual sale on Saturday,
December 2, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the Ramada. If
you are interested in selling your handcrafted items, please
contact Marla Ries at gvmarlaries@gmail.com.
Only EE residents may sell items, but the sale will be open to
the public.
The Holiday Elves Are Back
No "Bah Humbug" heard here! EE has a long-standing tradition of
decorating our street light posts for the holiday season from
Thanksgiving to New Years. If you don't have the time or the
energy, or you aren't here during the holidays, you can enlist
the aid of the Enhancement Elves. They will do your decorating
for a mere $10 if you have the decorations or $15 if you don't.
If you need the electrical plug-in to go in the socket in your
post, the charge is an additional $2.00, but the adapter then
becomes yours. The charge includes both putting up and removing
the decorations. The Elves start right after Thanksgiving and
the deadline for requesting this service is December 10 (Santa
has first dibs on them after that), so if you want the Elves to
work their magic at your lamp post, call Jackie Rautio at
269-7864. They do extremely nice work.
Book Discussion Group
The EE Book Discussion Group will meet on Tuesday,
December 5, at 11:00 a.m. in the Ramada. EE resident
Ginny Sollars will talk about writing her book, Windswept, A
South Pacific Adventure. Members will also bring
suggestions for books others may enjoy reading.
EE Gardeners Have Big Plans
Thanks to the Gardeners, our common areas will continue to
flourish. Projects for 2018 will include planting seven trees in
the common areas, replanting the corner of the Ramada Monument
facing Portillo and part of Mountain View Park, cleaning several
washes and transplanting cacti as they become available. The
Gardeners will hold a fundraiser at the Hospitality event in
January to support their 2018 activities.
Two New Hats in the Ring
Nancy Ferguson and Ken Lindeman have volunteered to run for the
Board. To read their candidate statement, click

EE Board Elections 2018
Learn what makes your homeowner's association tick.
Participate in local government. Get acquainted with your
neighbors. Run for the EE Board. Part-time residents are
encouraged to run. Monthly meetings are scheduled for the third
Monday of each month except July and August, but it is
acceptable to be out of town for a couple of them.
To throw your hat into the ring for the board election, contact Kris
Bean at eekris2017@outlook.com or Joe
McCalpin at 520-867-8067.
